BHA Gel Cleanser is a high-performance, gentle, salicylic acid face wash engineered to provide deep pore de-congesting action while maintaining the integrity of the skin barrier. Utilizing a sophisticated sulfate-free surfactant system, it emulsifies impurities and debris without the aggressive stripping common in traditional acne cleansers. By synergizing Salicylic Acid (BHA)—a lipid-soluble exfoliant that penetrates the pore lining—with skin-identical hydrators like Panthenol (Vitamin B5), this formula effectively targets active blemishes and prevents future congestion. This barrier-conscious approach ensures that oily, acne-prone, and sensitive skin types achieve a refined texture without feeling 'stripped'.

CLINICAL POTENCY

1% Salicylic Acid (BHA)

An oil-soluble Beta Hydroxy Acid that penetrates deep into the pore lining to dissolve the "glue" of sebum and dead skin cells, effectively targeting blackheads, breakouts, and enlarged pores.

PORE-CLEARING MATRIX

Panthenol & Sodium PCA:
Pro-Vitamin B5 and skin-natural humectants that bind moisture to the skin, preventing the dryness and irritation often associated with medicated cleansers.

Sodium Hyaluronate:
A powerful moisture magnet that ensures the skin remains plump and resilient after every rinse.

The 28-Day Reveal

BHA Clearing Progression

WEEK_01 Detoxification

Immediate oil control. Salicylic Acid begins fast-forwarding trapped impurities to the surface. Initial purging is common and indicates deep-pore activation.

WEEK_02 Sebum Regulation

Active breakouts begin to flatten and resolve faster. Panthenol starts regulating oil flow, reducing midday shine and calming redness associated with congestion.

WEEK_03 Pore Refinement

Significant reduction in blackheads and sebaceous filaments. The pore walls are kept clear of debris, making them appear smaller and more refined.

WEEK_04 Stabilization

Skin barrier is balanced and clear. Post-inflammatory marks are faded and new congestion is prevented before it reaches the surface.

Consistency is required for best results
The Philosophy

The BHA Gel Cleanser is a high-performance, gentle salicylic acid face wash engineered to provide deep pore decongesting action while maintaining the integrity of the skin barrier. Unlike traditional acne cleansers that strip the skin with aggressive surfactants — triggering the excess sebum production and barrier compromise that perpetuate breakouts — the BHA Gel Cleanser uses a sophisticated sulfate-free system to clear congestion at the follicular level while actively repairing the barrier as it cleanses:

01. DECONGEST — SALICYLIC ACID (1%)

Salicylic Acid is a beta-hydroxy acid — critically, it is lipid-soluble rather than water-soluble. This means it can penetrate the lipid-rich environment of the pore lining directly, where water-based actives and most surfactants cannot reach. At 1%, it dissolves the sebaceous plugs and comedone material that block pores at their base, rather than just clearing the skin surface. It also has documented anti-inflammatory activity that reduces the redness and swelling of active breakouts as it clears the congestion driving them.

02. PROTECT — SULFATE-FREE SURFACTANT SYSTEM

Coco Glucoside and Cocamidopropyl Betaine form the cleansing system. Both are derived from coconut and are classified as mild, non-stripping surfactants. Unlike Sodium Lauryl Sulfate or Sodium Laureth Sulfate — the standard surfactants in most face washes — this combination lifts impurities without disrupting the acid mantle, does not denature the skin's surface proteins, and does not trigger the reactive sebum overproduction that harsh cleansers cause in oily and acne-prone skin types.

03. REPAIR — PANTHENOL (0.5%)

DL-Panthenol at 0.5% is included specifically to counteract the minor barrier stress that any active cleansing step places on the skin, even with a mild surfactant system. Panthenol penetrates the epidermis, converts to Pantothenic Acid, and accelerates barrier repair and moisture retention. Its presence in a cleanser — rather than a leave-on product — means the skin is actively being repaired during the cleansing process itself rather than requiring a separate recovery step.

Layering Guide

The BHA Gel Cleanser is always your second cleanse, used after MatchaMelt has removed surface-level SPF and makeup. It is also used after GlycoGommage on exfoliation days. It is a rinse-off product and is never left on the skin.

01
GlycoGommage ONCE WEEKLY — REPLACES MATCHAMELT

Used once a week as your first step on that day only. Apply to dry skin, massage to exfoliate, then rinse before moving to the BHA Gel Cleanser.

02
MatchaMelt SKIP ON GLYCOGOMMAGE DAYS

Daily first cleanse. Removes SPF, waterproof makeup, and lipid-based pollutants that the BHA Gel Cleanser cannot break down on its own. Always precedes the BHA Gel Cleanser.

03
BHA Gel Cleanser YOU ARE HERE

Apply to damp skin after MatchaMelt or GlycoGommage. Lather gently and allow 30 seconds of contact time before rinsing — Salicylic Acid requires contact time to penetrate the pore lining effectively. Pat dry and do not rub.

04
TraneXaMilk TONER

First active step after cleansing. Blocks the plasminogen-plasmin melanin signalling pathway before pigment production begins. Allow 60 seconds to absorb.

05
NiAbutin-C SERUM

Triple-pathway brightening serum applied after TraneXaMilk. Allow 60 seconds to absorb before HydraPep.

06
HydraPep SERUM

Multi-weight Hyaluronic Acid and Matrixyl 3000 plump the barrier and lock all actives in place before the emulsion layer.

07
AzelaiK 12% EMULSION

Applied after serums as an emulsion. The thoroughly decongested pore surface created by the BHA Gel Cleanser allows deeper follicular penetration of the Azelaic Acid micro-emulsion.

08
DermaSeal MOISTURISER

Final step. Ceramide NP and Squalane create an occlusive seal that locks in all actives and prevents transepidermal water loss overnight.

Allow 30 seconds of contact time before rinsing. Salicylic Acid does not work on contact — it requires dwell time to penetrate the pore lining.

Key Ingredients
Salicylic Acid (1%)
A lipid-soluble beta-hydroxy acid that penetrates the pore lining directly to dissolve sebaceous plugs and comedone material at their base. Also has documented anti-inflammatory activity that reduces the redness and swelling of active breakouts simultaneously.
Coco Glucoside
A coconut-derived mild surfactant that removes surface impurities and excess sebum without disrupting the acid mantle or denaturing skin surface proteins. Does not trigger reactive sebum overproduction as harsh sulfate surfactants do.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine
An amphoteric coconut-derived surfactant that complements Coco Glucoside to produce a rich lather without SLS or SLES. Also acts as a conditioning agent that reduces the surface tension of water during rinsing, ensuring complete removal without residue.
DL-Panthenol — Vitamin B5
Included in the cleanser base to actively repair barrier stress during the cleansing step itself. Converts to Pantothenic Acid in the epidermis, accelerating moisture retention and keratinocyte repair without requiring a separate recovery product.

Full Ingredients: Distilled Water, Glycerin, Sodium PCA, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Coco Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Salicylic Acid, Propanediol, Panthenol, Phenoxyethanol (and) Caprylyl Glycol (and) Sorbic Acid, Citric Acid q.s. to pH 4.5 to 5.0.

How to Use
  1. Always use after MatchaMelt as your second cleanse, or after GlycoGommage on exfoliation days. Never use the BHA Gel Cleanser as a standalone first cleanse — residual SPF and makeup on the skin surface will physically block the Salicylic Acid from reaching the pore lining.
  2. Apply a small amount to damp skin. The formula is concentrated — a coin-sized amount is sufficient for the full face.
  3. Lather gently using circular motions. Focus on areas of active congestion, enlarged pores, and breakouts — typically the T-zone, chin, and nose.
  4. Allow 30 seconds of contact time before rinsing. This is the most commonly skipped step and the most important one. Salicylic Acid is not an instant-action ingredient — it requires dwell time to penetrate the follicular lining and dissolve the sebaceous material blocking it.
  5. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and pat dry. Do not rub — patting preserves the acid mantle that the Panthenol and mild surfactant system have worked to maintain.
  6. Proceed immediately to TraneXaMilk as your first active step. The thoroughly decongested skin surface allows significantly better absorption of every active applied after it.
