Resurfacing Progression
Immediate surface exfoliation. Any initial purging is a fast-forward for trapped impurities. This is confirmation that the Glycolic Acid complex is stimulating cellular turnover.
Dead cell buildup is significantly reduced. You will notice a smoother feel to the skin and increased light reflection as the first layer of genuine glow begins to surface.
Deeper exfoliation targets stubborn congestion and surface pigment. Post-inflammatory marks begin to fade as fresh, undamaged cells reach the surface.
Maximum clarity achieved. The skin surface is polished and even, with pores visibly refined and overall tone significantly more uniform than at baseline.
The Philosophy
GlycoGommage is a high-performance French dual-action resurfacing peel engineered to refine skin texture through two non-overlapping exfoliation mechanisms working simultaneously. Unlike standard AHA treatments that rely on chemistry alone, or scrubs that rely on physical abrasion alone, GlycoGommage combines both in a single formula — producing a level of cellular turnover and surface clarity that neither approach achieves independently:
Glycolic Acid is the smallest alpha-hydroxy acid molecule, giving it the deepest stratum corneum penetration of any AHA. At 3%, it dissolves the desmosomes — the protein bonds that hold dead skin cells to the surface — without the aggressive barrier compromise associated with higher concentrations. This chemical loosening is what creates the characteristic rolling texture during massage, as dead cell clusters detach from the surface simultaneously.
Microcrystalline Cellulose at 5% physically lifts and removes the dead cells that Glycolic Acid has loosened from the skin surface. Unlike synthetic microbeads or walnut shell scrubs that abrade the skin with irregular sharp edges, plant-derived cellulose produces a smooth, uniform mechanical action that removes debris without micro-tearing. The combination of chemical loosening followed by physical lifting produces a more thorough and less irritating exfoliation than either ingredient alone.
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (2.7%) and Allantoin (0.3%) work together to keep the skin barrier calm throughout the exfoliation process. Aloe Vera's polysaccharide matrix delivers immediate anti-inflammatory and wound-healing activity, while Allantoin accelerates cellular proliferation and keratin softening. This is the difference between a genuine exfoliation treatment and one that leaves the skin red and reactive — the actives work, and the barrier ingredients ensure the skin recovers immediately rather than triggering the post-inflammatory pigmentation that makes most peels problematic for South Asian skin.
Layering Guide
GlycoGommage is used once weekly as the very first step in your routine, before any cleansing. It replaces MatchaMelt on the days it is used. It is never used on the same day as other exfoliating actives.
Apply to completely dry skin before cleansing. This is your first step on GlycoGommage days only, replacing MatchaMelt. Massage in circular motions for 60 seconds until you feel the cellulose lifting debris, then rinse thoroughly before proceeding to the BHA Gel Cleanser.
Daily first cleanse on all other days. Dissolves SPF, makeup, and environmental pollutants without stripping the acid mantle.
Second cleanse daily and on GlycoGommage days. Salicylic Acid decongests the pore lining that GlycoGommage has opened at the surface level, completing the dual-action cleanse.
First active step after cleansing. On GlycoGommage days, TraneXaMilk is especially important as it prevents the inflammatory pigment response that exfoliation can trigger in South Asian skin.
Triple-pathway brightening serum applied after TraneXaMilk. The freshly exfoliated surface allows deeper penetration of brightening actives on GlycoGommage days.
Multi-weight Hyaluronic Acid and Matrixyl 3000 plump the freshly cleared barrier and lock all actives in place before the emulsion layer.
Applied after serums as an emulsion. On GlycoGommage days, the cleared pore surface allows deeper follicular penetration of the Azelaic Acid micro-emulsion.
Final step and especially critical on GlycoGommage days. Exfoliation temporarily increases transepidermal water loss — DermaSeal's ceramide and squalane base seals the barrier immediately and prevents moisture loss from the freshly resurfaced skin.
Never use GlycoGommage on the same day as other exfoliating actives. Always apply SPF the following morning — freshly exfoliated skin is significantly more photosensitive.
Key Ingredients
The smallest AHA molecule with the deepest stratum corneum penetration. Dissolves the protein bonds between dead skin cells to accelerate cellular turnover and resurface uneven texture without the barrier compromise of higher concentrations.
Plant-derived cellulose that physically lifts and removes the dead cells loosened by Glycolic Acid. Produces a smooth, uniform mechanical exfoliation without the micro-tearing caused by irregular-edged scrub particles.
Delivers immediate anti-inflammatory and wound-healing polysaccharides throughout the exfoliation process. Prevents the post-inflammatory pigmentation response that makes most AHA peels problematic for melanin-rich skin.
Accelerates cellular proliferation and keratin softening to support immediate barrier recovery post-exfoliation. Works alongside Aloe Vera to ensure the skin is calm and recovered rather than reactive after the peel step.
Full Ingredients: Distilled Water, Glycerin, Propanediol 1,3, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Glycolic Acid, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Allantoin, PEG 60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Hydroxide q.s. to pH 5.0 to 5.2.
How to Use
- Use once weekly only. Do not use on the same evening as other exfoliating actives such as retinoids, other AHAs, or BHA serums applied to the skin surface.
- Start with completely dry hands and a completely dry face. Water deactivates the Glycolic Acid's bond-dissolving action before it reaches the skin.
- Apply a generous amount and massage in gentle circular motions for 60 seconds. You will feel the texture change as the cellulose lifts dead cell debris — this rolling sensation confirms the formula is working correctly.
- Focus on areas of rough texture, congestion, or dullness — typically the forehead, nose, and chin. Avoid the eye area and any active breakouts that are open or inflamed.
- Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and pat dry.
- Proceed immediately to the BHA Gel Cleanser as your second cleanse, then continue with your full active routine. On GlycoGommage days, applying TraneXaMilk after cleansing is particularly important to prevent the inflammatory pigmentation response that exfoliation can trigger.
- Apply SPF the following morning without exception. Freshly exfoliated skin is significantly more photosensitive and will develop pigmentation rapidly with unprotected UV exposure.

GLYCOGOMMAGE + DERMASEAL
GlycoGommage is engineered to be used specifically in sequence with DermaSeal to resurface skin texture through chemical exfoliation and then lock in hydration for a smooth, flawless makeup base.
Mechanical and chemical resurfacing (GlycoGommage) followed by lipid-rich occlusion (DermaSeal) eliminates surface texture and primes the epidermal layer for seamless cosmetic adhesion and long-wear hydration.
